Love Pulse Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 https://www.msn.com/ar-ae/autos/news/أبل-تتفرغ-لصناعة-السيارات-ذاتية-القيادة-بعد-الانتهاء-الكشف-عن-iphone/ar-AAPjES6 The Cupertino-based technology giant, Apple Car, announced its return to competition in the technology of self-driving cars. The company has recently moved away from developing a self-driving car system, due to its preoccupation with the unveiling of the iPhone 13 and Apple Watch Series 7, so the press there has mostly focused on these devices when it comes to reports on Apple products. Romania's autoevolution reports that the company remains very committed to its expansion into the auto industry, with a job opening recently largely as confirmation that Apple is working on self-driving car technology. A new announcement revealed that Apple is looking for a radar test engineer who will join the Sensors team, which is developing new radar technologies for use in autonomous driving systems. Apple isn't necessarily working on a car where the company chose its words carefully to avoid dropping any mention in this regard, but rather on the technology that could end up powering a self-driving car. Apparently Apple wants to expand its Apple Car team, and the new engineer will have to develop and maintain automated test drivers, test software for the interface, and collect data from radar sensors and radar test equipment. The Romanian website reported that the Cupertino-based company was aiming to launch its self-driving car sometime in 2025, with a prototype coming up in 2023 at the earliest. And the timing can easily change, especially since Apple keeps all the details secret, but also because the company wants to get everything right. So without talking publicly about its car project, Apple could easily make big changes, including delaying the launch, without much impact in the long run, especially since no one knows for sure when the car is supposed to see the light in the first place. Apple Car production could be handled by a new joint venture set up by Magna and LG.
