Love Pulse Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 https://www.alquds.co.uk/النفط-يتراجع-قبل-اجتماع-لأوبك-بلاس-بشأ/ TOKYO: Oil prices fell Monday ahead of an OPEC+ supply policy meeting that may decide whether the recent price rally can continue as the world intermittently recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic. Brent crude fell 24 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $79.04 a barrel by 01:43 GMT. Brent rose 1.5 percent last week, the fourth consecutive weekly increase. The price of US oil fell 27 cents, or 0.4 percent, to $75.61 a barrel, after rising in the past six weeks. Oil prices rose amid supply disruptions and a recovery in global demand, which pushed Brent last week to a nearly three-year high above $80. ANZ Research said in a note that risk appetite was "reinforced by increased confidence in a strong pickup in global growth... as investors focus on the upcoming OPEC+ meeting." The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allies including Russia are scheduled to meet later on Monday.
