On Sunday, Omani regions, including the Governorate of Muscat, witnessed stormy weather and heavy rain, due to the effects of Hurricane Shaheen.

The Omani Civil Defense reported that 9 reports of people trapped in their vehicles were responded to by rain in Muscat Governorate, and that 25 people were rescued during the operation.

The cyclone also cut off major roads, due to heavy rain and the accompanying strong winds, and video clips on social media showed torrential torrents that swept the roads in the Omani state of Muttrah.

The Oman News Agency reported that heavy rains fell in the Governorate of Muscat due to Cyclone Shaheen, while the Oman Civil Defense reported that 9 reports of people trapped by rain in their vehicles were responded to in Muscat Governorate, and that twenty-five people were rescued during the operation.

And at dawn on Sunday, the Civil Aviation Authority in Oman issued warning No. 3 about tropical cyclone Shaheen in the Arabian Sea, according to the Oman News Agency.

On the other hand, the Civil Aviation Authority calls upon everyone to take the utmost care and caution, not to risk crossing valleys, and to stay away from low-lying places, as well as not to go to the sea during this period.
