An official in the Syrian Ministry of Health said, on Sunday, that hospitals in the governorates of Damascus and Latakia have reached their maximum capacity due to the increase in infections with the Corona virus, which requires receiving hospital care.
And the official Syrian TV quoted the Director of Readiness, Ambulance and Emergency in the Ministry of Health, Tawfiq Hassa, announcing the "start of transferring patients infected with the Corona epidemic from the governorates of Damascus and its countryside to Homs governorate and from Lattakia to Tartous."

He explained that the step was decided "after all the hospitals in those governorates were full, following the significant increase in the number of Corona injuries."

On Sunday, Syria recorded 400 additional infections in government-controlled areas, the highest daily toll since the start of the pandemic in the country, which has so far recorded more than 32,580 injuries, including 2,198 deaths in areas under the control of the Syrian army.

"For the first time, the number reaches 400 injuries per day," an account said, noting that the largest number of injuries was recorded in Damascus, Aleppo and Latakia, according to "AFP".
