The American company Apple, the maker of smart phones and electronic devices, is back in search of a car company to cooperate with in order to make its self-driving electric car.

Reports revealed that Apple is negotiating with some Korean suppliers to support the project to manufacture its self-driving electric cars.

Apple's negotiations with Korean suppliers come after a long way from negotiations with many car companies such as Hyundai, Kia, Nissan and Volkswagen, but all of these negotiations reached a dead end in the end.

Apple is thinking during the coming period of negotiating with many Korean companies to obtain important parts in its car to facilitate the manufacturing process.

Reports indicate that Apple may cooperate with the famous company LG in the world of electronics in the manufacture of the electric motor for the car of the American company.

Apple is known for its desire to rely on (lithium-iron-phosphate) batteries, because they are considered the safest compared to lithium-ion batteries, which are relied on in most electric cars because of their cheapness compared to the batteries that Apple wants to use.

And the obstacle of performance of (lithium-iron-phosphate) batteries in cold weather compared to other batteries is a challenge for Apple that it will work to overcome in order to progress in the process of relying on it with its self-driving car.

A crisis inside Apple because of its self-driving car
And press reports revealed a crisis within the American company Apple, which specializes in the manufacture of smart phones and electronic devices, due to its self-driving car.

Apple has not yet reached an agreement with any major car company to manufacture its new car, which has begun to put pressure on the famous American company in the field of technology.

Apple has been silent during the previous months and refused to disclose the details of its negotiations with the companies, in the hope of reaching a final, enforceable agreement.

Reports described Apple during this period as "desperate" in the search for a partner to manufacture the car.

And some reports mention that Apple is negotiating during this period with Foxconn, a global company specialized in the field of electronics, in order to reach a partnership between them that contributes to the emergence of the expected Apple electric car.

While the report did not mention in the event of reaching an agreement between Apple and Foxconn, who will make the car practically so far!

Some other reports speak of discussions between Apple with LG and the Canadian company Magna, which specializes in mobility technology and the car industry, to produce an Apple car for self-driving.

During the previous period, the name of Apple was associated with many car companies, such as Hyundai, Kia and Nissan, but it seems that these negotiations did not reach a good meeting point between the American company and car companies.

The possibility of an Apple car appearing by 2024 or the following year remains in the event that Apple continues to struggle to find a partner.

While the Apple car may appear faster if an agreement is reached between Apple, LG and Magna to manufacture the car.

Perhaps Apple's arrival in an agreement with Foxconn is a good opportunity, especially as it is working to establish production lines for electric cars in the North American continent.

Foxconn is expected to make a decision on the location of its main plant in North America by the summer of 2021.

Kia shares rise in the stock market after being linked to Apple again
Reports linking the well-known South Korean car maker, Kia, and Apple are back again in order to build a self-driving car.

Economic reports indicate that Kia shares rose in the trading of the Korean stock exchange during the last hours due to a report that revealed the continuation of Kia and Apple negotiations despite what was rumored during the previous period that the negotiations did not succeed and actually stopped.

During the previous period, Kia denied that there was any talks with Apple to develop self-driving cars through the system that Apple made for self-driving.

On the other hand, one of the Korean websites specialized in the field of car manufacturing expected that the denial was related to the production of the car completely, and that the current negotiations between the two parties concern solutions for future mobility and some other technical fields.

Apple officials have maintained that they do not comment on any of this news, and neither Kia officials have responded explicitly to this matter.

Nissan may replace Kia in manufacturing the Apple car
Apple, which specializes in the manufacture of electronic devices and smart phones, is still studying its position on cooperating with a car company to make its new car with a self-driving system of its own.

After Apple approached an agreement with the South Korean brand Kia, the American company did not reach an agreement with the Korean brand, which led to the suspension of negotiations between them despite their reaching an advanced stage.

The reports are in the interest of the Japanese company Nissan, which has a role to enter into negotiations with Apple to manufacture its future self-driving car.

It seems that Nissan is ready for this cooperation, as CEO Linsan Makoto Uchida hinted during his last press conference that new initiatives and partnerships must be taken with different entities that have knowledge and experience.

Experts expected that Nissan's statements indicate the Japanese company's welcome to cooperate with Apple to manufacture and build its new self-driving car.

These statements may lead Nissan and Apple to secret negotiations during the coming period, which may reveal reports and sources about them from within the two entities.

Nissan is not the only candidate for cooperation with Apple during the coming period, as some reports have put the German company BMW among the candidates to cooperate with the American company in order to make a self-driving car with unique capabilities.
