luminox™- Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Old school style naked bikes still have a place among fans. Yep, you don't have to bother having to make modifications to get a classic look. Yamaha is among those who provide this option. They complete the Sport Heritage lineup for the entry level class in Europe. Is the XSR125. According to the breed, he adopted the concept of a modern naked bike with an old touch. The official price reaches 4,450 Pound Sterling for the UK region, or if converted, it is around Rp. 90 million. The Yamaha XSR125 is the younger brother of the XSR155 circulating in Indonesia. In appearance, there is no significant difference between this small XSR and the Indonesian version. You could say the lines are exactly the same. Wearing a retro motorbike-style composition: Round lights, separate turn signals, to a minimalist round stop lamp. The shape and sculpture of the tank is exactly the same. Made sturdy and proportional to the back. Does not look too thin even though it has a small engine. It's just that, a matter of different coloring. There is no iconic silver color available with a brushed aluminum finish. There are red, yellow, and black. Expressive. It immediately has older tank graphics than here. Thanks to the double stripe contrast. Even if you look at the similar design, there is a slight difference in dimensions. A little more concise. The total length is 1,960 mm, width 800 mm, height 1,065 mm. While the XSR155 has a length of 2,007 mm, a width of 804 mm and a height of 1,080 mm. But if the wheelbase is completely identical at 1,330 mm. It's not just the size of the surroundings. The small XSR's ground clearance is also lower. The unique thing is that the distance from the seat to the ground is slightly higher. Looks like this is an adjustment to the standard posture on the mainland Caucasoid Race. Again, there lies a minor difference in terms of gasoline capacity. In Europe it is a bit bigger, maybe because of that the total weight is 2 kg (Full Loaded). What is certain is that the acquisition of output is very different. Because the engine format is smaller. Single cylinder configuration with a volume of 124 cc SOHC without VVA. Maximum power is only 14.7 Hp at 10,000 rpm and torque of 11.5 Nm at 8,000 rpm. It's far if you look at the 155 cc version which is capable of injecting 19 hp power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. Not to mention having VVA to strengthen power in the middle to upper rotation. And when you look at the power supply, the gearbox isn't quite as complete as the version here. Both are uniformly wearing a six-speed manual transmission. However, there is no assist and slipper clutch. Perhaps, it is considered that the tug of such a small engine when the engine brake has no impact So that the contribution of the slipper clutch can be considered in vain. Luckily the XSR125 inherits the older brother's built-in electronic features. It is able to provide sophisticated and complete tools. In the middle of the handlebar, a digital screen provides information about the vehicle. Engine speed, speed, gear position, mileage and fuel gauge displayed on it. Of course, it is framed by circular chrome, so that it remains a classic style. Not finished yet, the XSR lighting sector is equipped with LED technology both on the front and back. In fact, there is a beautiful semicircular DRL in the headlight. Moving on to the legs, the provisions are the same as here. The main frame is in the Delta Box model. Typical Yamaha which also makes it look muscular. Then the upside down fork is of course the default, with a diameter of 37 mm. The difference is pinned by a reflector, aka cat's eye. And at the rear, a single shock breaker support with 110 mm travel. There is no ABS for deceleration safety devices on the front and rear discs, not unlike the 155 version.
