The Iberian dominated SS2 and SS3 ahead of teammates Ott Tänak (who won SS1) and Thierry Neuville, who is now ten seconds behind Sordo. On the French side, Adrien Fourmaux (M-Sport) achieved a very good performance in SS3 with 4th time tied with Elfyn Evans (Toyota), and he is currently in 6th place in the general classification. Seven-time WRC world champion Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) is currently in 8th place with more than 31 seconds behind Sordo. The French rider should improve his time if he wants to clinch his 9th podium on Lusitanian soil. The third French, Loubet, did not participate in SS2 and SS3 due to a technical problem.
