H O L D F I R E 流 Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 Mercedes-Benz could finally give Tesla a hard time, which has taken a big leap forward in electric vehicles over the past decade with the new EQE (code name V295). This streamlined 100% electric sedan will be placed directly in front of the Model S of our American friends, benefiting from the latest generation technological expertise combined with a historically excellent quality of finish. A point that could make the difference compared to the Californian sedan if the technical services and prices are found at the same level. The Mercedes EQE, still in development, was surprised yet well camouflaged. Only its line can be distinguished from it, which seems to be modeled on the general appearance of the EQS. A limousine which, as we recall, set a record in terms of aerodynamics (Cx of 0.20) thanks to hundreds of hours in the wind tunnel and several patents filed. The ultimate anti Model S? The anti Model S par excellence? +11 The future Mercedes EQE has the same allure as the EQS Photo Credit - Automedia Mercedes has calculated its move well, by planning to position its EQ brand electric cars alongside its more conventional thermal models . Several vehicles have already appeared such as the EQC several months ago, and more recently the EQA, EQB and EQS. The next EQE will be a more compact and cheaper version of the latter, a futuristic limousine with remarkable performance. The EQE sedan uses the same modular electric EVA2 platform as the EQS, with an interior space as spacious as an S-Class, despite its smaller dimensions than an E-Class. The specific layout of the engine (s) electric (s) as well as batteries, located under the flat floor of the vehicle, promote space on board. The EQE will most certainly be offered with all-wheel drive and an advanced semi-autonomous driving system. We can already predict a range of around 600 km with a large battery and a price of around € 70,000 in order to remain competitive with the Model S and finally settle his account with this North American invader! The Mercedes EQE is expected in Europe for 2022.
