Nouvelle Seat Ibiza restylée (2021) : cure technologique pour la citadine espagnole

Seat has taken on the renewal of its iconic versatile city car, as well as its small urban SUV, the Ibiza and Arona. Both vehicles advance in style but above all in technology, an aspect that is essential today when updating a vehicle. On the program for the Ibiza, therefore, improved connectivity and a range of gasoline or CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) fuel engines. Zapping Autonews The expert's eye: discovery of the Mazda MX-30 The evolution of the style of the Seat Ibiza remains discreet, with the adoption of an LED light signature on all trim levels, a new logo in chrome finish and the model name written in handwritten letters on the back, as for the Leon. The rims have also been redesigned to bring a slight breeze of freshness to the model. Inside, Seat talks about a “revolution” but we won't be so adamant, with the presence of a new foamed plastic dashboard with redesigned air vents and a larger floating center screen. The restyled Ibiza offers five petrol or CNG engines, with powers varying between 80 hp and 150 hp. Its power of 80 hp and 93 Nm of torque make it the ideal choice for pure city dwellers, but you should not expect record dynamism above 80 km / h. Other variants based on the three-cylinder turbo 1.0 EcoTSI are available with outputs of 95 hp (for 175 Nm of torque) and 110 hp (for 200 Nm) respectively. These two units can be combined with a six-speed manual transmission (five-speed for 95 hp) or a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. Another more powerful 1.5 EcoTSI four-cylinder turbo unit, developing 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque, is also part of the DSG7 gearbox. It offers more muscular performance, without turning the small car into a real sports car. For the moment, the Spanish brand has no plans to offer hybrid or even micro-hybrid engines on its restyled Ibiza, but provides it with an alternative fuel to CNG, the use of which remains anecdotal in France. Technology, a new watchword Technology, a new watchword + 3 Photo Credit - Seat At the heart of Seat's concerns for this new version of Ibiza, connectivity and driving aids have been the subject of 'special attention. Besides the question of design, customers have a more pronounced thirst for change than ever before in technological gadgets. The compact city car now has a new, more efficient infotainment system, with a floating central screen whose diagonal varies between 8.25 inches and 9.2 inches (optional). It complements the 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit which faces the driver and offers improved ergonomics. On-board connectivity is complete, in particular thanks to the Full Link wireless system giving access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as to Seat Connect (remote connectivity). Voice recognition responding to the “Hola Hola” command is also on the program. For their part, the driving assistance systems have also been updated, with in particular Travel Assist, allowing semi-automatic driving whatever the speed of the vehicle thanks to the combination of the 'ACC (adaptive cruise control) and Lane Assist. The latest security systems such as blind spot detection, parking space exit assistance, recognition of traffic signs and automatic lights also bolster the technological armada dedicated to occupant protection. The new price list for the restyled Seat Ibiza will be communicated later.
