The models have multiplied in recent years and benefit from their gradual extension to hybrid and 100% electric engines. However, no elevated vehicle is currently in the leading duo of the French market. At the end of March, two city-dwellers dominated the debates. In the lead, the Peugeot 208 II (25,998 units) is ahead of the Renault Clio V (21,236 units), but the latter's second place is hanging by a thread. Indeed, the SUV currently the best-selling in France was very close to supplanting the Clio. This is the Peugeot 2008, credited with 20,724 registrations during the first quarter, or a market share of 4.7%, according to the latest figures published by the Committee of French Manufacturers of Automobiles (CCFA). The lion's urban SUV was already the benchmark of the genre for the whole of fiscal year 2020, in favor of the recent arrival of its second installment. Peugeot ahead of Renault A good distance from 2008, the second best classified SUV is none other than its direct rival, the Renault Captur (14,671 units). From January to March, it is one breath ahead of another Peugeot SUV, the big brother 3008 (14,171). At the foot of the podium of the best-selling SUVs on the French market is the Dacia Duster, closely followed by the Citroën C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross, as well as the Peugeot 5008. In addition, at the end of the first quarter, the status of SUV bearing the banner of a foreign group the best-selling in France returns to the Ford Puma, already leader of the category in 2020. It is just ahead of the Volkswagen T- Rock. Next, in that order, are the Toyota C-HR, the recent Hyundai Tucson and the Renault Kadjar.
