The Red Dot Awards is an international design competition organized by Germany's Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, which has been evaluating and selecting the most aesthetically exciting, functional, smart and innovative products from around the world since 1955.

 

Every year, this prestigious competition rewards excellence in the field of design and communication of products and brands at a global level, with criteria that are constantly updated to the sociocultural context. A jury of 50 international experts chooses the products in almost fifty different categories, from fashion to accessories, through furniture and even vehicles.

The MC20, designed by the Centro Stile Maserati in Turin, is a combination of elegance and sporting prowess, a true masterpiece of style, ushering in a new Era for the Trident brand.

 

The focus on performance led to the conception of a vehicle with a distinct personality, with refined aerodynamics and unmistakable lines that do so. The new supercar represents the pure form of speed in Maserati style: a sculptural work of engineering that shows the way to the brand's aesthetic future.

 

The MC20 is innovative by nature, and every detail of the design is functional: the butterfly doors are not only incredibly beautiful, but also improve the ergonomics of the car and allow optimal access to the cabin.

Developed by the Maserati Innovation Lab and assembled in the historic Modena plant, the Maserati MC20 is, genuinely, a 100 percent "Made in Italy" car.

 

A vehicle whose superb appearance hides an uncompromising sporting soul, with the new 630 hp Nettuno V6 engine capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 2.9 seconds and with a top speed of more than 325 km / ha. The patented engine was conceived, developed, designed and built entirely by Maserati, using pre-chamber combustion technology derived from Formula 1 engines.
