Everything ready for the world premiere of the Harley-Davidson Pan America, the first maxitrail touring -or Adventure Touring, as Harley puts it-, the first foray of the ‘Company’ in this po[CENSORED]r segment.

This modern motorcycle rides the new V60º LC twin-cylinder, called Revolution Max, with a displacement of 1,250 c.c. and double overhead camshaft, which offers the considerable power of 147 hp and a torque of 122 Nm. The center of the V houses the injectors and double direct-pull throttle bodies. It has a balance shaft to limit vibrations and for the first time, we see a chain drive.

In this way, the Pan America continues with the Harley-Davidson tradition of mounting a V-twin engine, but now with all the current technology.

Pan America presentation February 4

The Pan America chassis is tubular steel, with the engine acting as a structural part. The subframe is multitubular made of steel.

High level equipment
The suspensions on the Milwaukee Adventure Touring are electronically adjustable, allowing them to perfectly adapt to the conditions of any terrain, whether on asphalt or off it. Precisely for greater efficiency off-road, it mounts perimeter spoke wheels, which allows it to fit 19 ”and 17” Michelin tubeless tires.

If the suspensions are sophisticated, the new Harley also equips first-rate brakes: in front it mounts a pair of 320 mm discs, bitten by radial four-piston Brembo calipers.

In terms of equipment, the Pan America is not far behind: the instrumentation consists of a large TFT screen and the lighting is Full LED.

The new adventurous maxitrail will come with the option of equipment that allows you to travel in total comfort, such as a practical set of aluminum suitcases and top case, as well as other accessories.
