itan.mx Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 XPG is a gaming brand derived from ADATA. Just as ASUS has the ROG brand for the gaming area, ADATA has the XPG brand. The latter has evolved in recent years and we have seen interesting products from them. They have recently started producing PC sources, and we have received a model to present. I say presentation because a review at a source can't be done easily and we don't know how. We prefer not to get dirty with misinformation, so this article is just a presentation. XPG Pylon Bronze 750W is a 750W source, non-modular, with 80 Plus Bronze certification and a fairly high efficiency of over 80%. It is a source with a relatively good price. I took as a benchmark the 550W model that costs 220 lei at eMAG, so this variant should not exceed 400-450 lei. Not a bad price if I'm right. The source is very heavy and usually this means that it is a quality source. It has Japanese capacitors, protections to satisfy you: OVP, OPP, SCP, OCP, UVP, OTP, NLO, SIP. The fan is 120mm, completely silent. The XPG Pylon source is also Cybenetics certified for efficiency and low noise. The 120mm fan operates at 864RPM when the load is a maximum of 60%, and then increases slightly to a maximum of 1908RPM at a load of 100%. The cables are of all kinds, long but a bit stiff. You'll struggle a little to juggle them when you do wm, but you can do it for sure. They are of quality, that's how it left my impression, and you can find their length in the picture below. You have enough cables for both SATA and 4x PCI-E 6 + 2 pin, 2x ATX 8 pin 4 + 4, 3x Molex and even 1x Floppy 😀 With Japanese capacitors, numerous protections and long cables, I don't see why it would be a bad source. The efficiency is also high, it is silent, it has power and the price is very good.
