DirectX is absolutely necessary for the optimal running of multimedia applications, including games, on your personal computer based on the Windows operating system. To make this article we will use a computer with Windows 8 operating system and Internet Explorer 10 browser. Microsoft DirectX is a package of files absolutely necessary for running multimedia applications and games on your computer. Each version of Windows operating systems comes with a pre-installed version of DirectX, but periodically there are updated elements that must be inserted into the Windows operating system so that there are no problems in playing multimedia applications of any kind, newer or older. Specifically, this tutorial teaches us how to update the DirectX elements, regardless of the Windows operating system used, so that we can run without problems any multimedia application or game supported from a hardware point of view. Read the following steps carefully: Step 1. Access the official download page of the DirectX updater at the download link address and click the Download button: Step 2. Continue with a click on the No thanks and Continue button: Step 3. You will notice the appearance of the download manager at the bottom of the page. Click the Run button to automatically download and run the DirectX update process on your Windows computer: Step 4. Check the I accept the agreement option and click the Next button: Step 5. Uncheck the Install the Bing Bar option, then click the Next button to start the process of downloading and updating DirectX elements: Step 6. At this point, your Windows operating system is updated with the latest DirectX elements needed to run multimedia applications and games.
