#Steeven.™ Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 More than 4.65 million people have already received two shots of the Pfizer vaccine. More than 50% of Israel's po[CENSORED]tion was inoculated with both doses of the coronavirus vaccine, Health Minister Yuli Edelstein reported on Thursday. “We have crossed the threshold of 50% of all Israeli citizens vaccinated with the second dose. Thanks to them, the State of Israel is defeating the coronavirus, ”the minister said today through his Twitter account. Despite the optimism, Edelstein urged the po[CENSORED]tion to "continue to obey the restrictions so that the coronavirus does not return." More than 4.65 million people have already received two injections of the Pfizer vaccine, representing 50.7% of the po[CENSORED]tion. Thanks to its swift vaccination campaign, the fastest in the world in terms of po[CENSORED]tion percentage, daily infections in Israel have dropped rapidly in recent months. While a month ago the country registered daily case figures of around 4,000 and positive rates around 6%, the latest figures show that yesterday no more than 470 new infections were detected, with a positive rate of 1, 1 %. These numbers are even more shocking considering that in the same period the de-escalation of the third confinement in the country has advanced rapidly, including the reopening of cafes, restaurants, places of worship and even halls of cultural events almost three weeks ago. With the reopening of nightclubs this week and the easing of air traffic limitations, Israel is thus moving towards near normality, at least for those who carry the so-called "Green Pass" for immunized, required to enter many places. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has registered about 830,000 cases of coronavirus, of which just under 13,000 are active, 482 of them in serious condition.
