Week after week, Real Madrid fans are calling for the return of Karim Benzema to the French national team, after he was deprived of representing the roosters more than 5 years ago.

Karim Benzema offers a very distinguished performance with Real Madrid in the current and recent seasons, to the point that France Football magazine awarded him the best French star award in 2020, surpassing his fellow countryman Kylian Mbappe, which is the fastest rocket.

But when it comes to the French fans, there is a state of division, as there is a large group that supports the return of the Real Madrid striker to the national team, while another group believes that continuing to ignore the player is the best decision.

There is no consensus on the return of Benzema to the French national team
The newspaper "Le Figaro" prepared a head survey in which 30 thousand fans of the French national team participated, on the issue of Karim Benzema's return to the national team, and 55% voted that he should continue to be excluded by coach Didier Deschamps, while 45% believe that he deserves other opportunities.

 

The Spanish newspaper AS commented on this referendum that the French masses began to accept the idea of the return of Benzema, after they had categorically rejected this matter 4 years ago, as most opinion polls ended with high rates of not less than 70% of those opposed to the idea of his return to the national team.
