The Land Rover Defender dates from the year 1948, with its predecessors the Land Rover I, II and III as the forerunners of the model. Later, in 1983, the production of the model you know began, and that inevitably ceased production in 2016, leaving the door ajar for a possible generational change or the introduction of a new copy to replace it.

Thus, in 2019, Land Rover made the return of the Defender official and presented it during the past and now defunct Frankfurt Motor Show, from where we could meet the two versions that would be marketed worldwide.

We are talking about the long Defender 110 body variants, as well as the short one, which bears the name Defender 90, the latter with a two-door body and space for five occupants and of which there is still no confirmation to start marketing it, This is due to the delays caused by the pandemic that have affected its distribution worldwide.

2020 Land Rover Defender: Design

This section was controversial for off-road enthusiasts, because for this new generation smoother and more fluid lines were used, which adopt that square and robust character of their predecessors, although without as much emphasis as the previous versions.

This new language was based on the DC100 concept car, which maintains part of that square and robust essence, to which only a couple of modern elements and simple, but well-defined lines were enough to give life to a model worthy of the 21st century.
