The news about Yamaha developing the YZF-R7 has actually been widely discussed since the announcement of the stop of production of the YZF-R6 sports motorbike. As we know, it focuses more on torque, while newcomers are expected to get an adjustment in terms of power. The manufacturer must be able to position this new product as a challenger to the Aprilia RS660. At least it can get close to the 100 hp that the enemy has. Fortunately, Yamaha's 2-cylinder Crossplane engine meets Euro 5 regulations and that will accelerate development. Not only the kitchen runway, chassis, suspension and ergonomic adjustments are also required for a sports motorbike derived from the 689 cc naked bike. From the circulating imagery, there is speculation that the fairing will take DNA from R1. Aerodynamic form, large ram air intake and narrow lights.
