[Auto] The Hyundai Kona N loses the disguise and reveals its sensual design

Little by little, Hyundai's sports range is taking shape. Department N is doing a really good job and we have the proof in the i30 N. However, those responsible for the South Korean firm know that a single model is not enough to improve its image. Therefore, they have given their approval to be born, among others, the interesting i20 N. But there is another model that has been making us sigh for a long time: the Hyundai Kona N.

The Asian SUV is one of the most successful in the European sales charts. This is because it has a young and carefree design combined with high quality and an unrivaled mechanical range. However, a version that could put models like the Ford Puma ST on the ropes was yet to come. Well, you play the game with us, here we have the first official images and without camouflage!

The design of the Hyundai Kona N is muscular and "badass"

If we take a look at the images, we can see the result of the joint work between the Hyundai Design Center and the N Division. First of all we have a front that differs from the rest of the versions of the range by exclusive bumpers. The air inlets are specific and more generous. According to the brand, the lower grille is inspired by the aeronautical fuselage and helps to emphasize the aerodynamic efficiency of the whole.

Nor can we ignore the evolution of its optics that include a new light signature. As a complement, the N logo appears on the grill. The side view receives little change, although it debuts newly designed and larger alloy wheels. Finally, we take a look behind. Here it stands out for the double exhaust outlet, the spoiler, the triangular-shaped third brake light or the red strip that runs along the bodywork.

And up to here we can count. Hyundai's official press release calls us to a later date to release more official details. On a mechanical level, we already know many of its secrets as my colleague Diego Ávila has told us. Therefore, do not be confused that it will be a matter of days or weeks that they finish revealing vital data such as equipment possibilities or prices.
