Best Electric Vehicle After a vote in which different aspects such as safety, performance, comfort, technology and the quality / price ratio have been taken into account, the specialists have given the absolute victory to the Land Rover Defender. It thus becomes the Best Car in the World 2021. "The Women's World Car of the Year is the only jury in the world made up entirely of female motoring journalists. This gives it enormous value because its decisions represent the tastes and preferences of millions of female drivers from around the planet. They are prizes too of great importance for any type of buyer because cars are genderless and stereotyped. The winners of these awards are simply the best cars in the world. And this year the top winner is the Land Rover Defender, says Marta Garcia, Executive President of the Women's World Car of the Year. The voting system of the Women's World Car of the Year, a team that has the support of Newspress Spain, has been based this year on choosing the three best cars in each category in the first round, taking into account the models launched between January and December 2020. In the second round, the juries have chosen only one, the best in each category in relation to their rivals in the same segment. The third vote was undoubtedly the most difficult because the finalists were the winners of each segment, vehicles all with an excellent level. The vote was verified by Grant Thornton from his Auckland, New Zealand office. This auditor has certified the results of the Women's World Car of the Year since its inception in 2009. Paul Kane, a partner of the company, affirms that it is always a very close process. The Women's World Car of the Year is the only international award made up exclusively of women motoring journalists. It was created in 2009 by New Zealand communicator Sandy Myhre who currently serves as Honorary President. The executive presidency is in charge of the Spanish Marta García. The aim of this unique award is to recognize the best cars of the year. The voting criteria are based on the same principles that guide any driver when buying a vehicle. It is not "the woman's car" because such a concept does not exist, but a car for everyone. Aspects such as safety, quality, price, design, ease of driving and the environmental footprint among others are taken into account when voting.
