Its stake would increase from 15.5% to 24%.

In June 2018, Porsche took an initial stake in Rimac, acquiring a 10% minority stake. In September 2019, the percentage increased to 15.5%, and now, it has increased again to 24%.

For this, Porsche is investing an additional € 70 million (the equivalent of about $ 83.2 million), and notes that owning 24% of the shares does not give it controlling influence. In other words, Rimac continues to make decisions regarding its future. Interestingly, Porsche mentions in the press release issued today that the Croatian brand is on track to become a Tier 1 supplier for the brand, so its future models will use electric vehicle related hardware provided by Rimac.

There were rumors that Porsche would increase its stake by as much as 50%, but it appears that this will not be the case for now. It is not known what will happen to Bugatti, as various reports have speculated that Rimac would take control of the company, in exchange for selling more shares to Porsche.

It is a known fact that Bugatti's parent company Volkswagen Group will decide in the first half of the year, and Porsche CEO Oliver Blume recently suggested that Rimac could play some role in Bugatti's future. If this deal does come to fruition, there is a good chance of seeing all-electric Bugatti hypercars.

Rimac was founded in 2009, near Zagreb, and they are months away from presenting the production version of their C_Two, which will debut under a different name, and promises to reach 60 miles per hour in less than two seconds, with its more 1,900 horsepower.

Despite not being the only one, without a doubt the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo is the most exciting electric wagon. It combines all the qualities of the sedan and brings an added touch of practicality. It's 0.8 inches (20 millimeters) taller than the regular Porsche Taycan or 0.4 inches (10 millimeters) as long as it includes the Off-Road Design Package.
