Strict quarantine in Venezuela due to COVID-19: when does it begin, Maduro's announcement and new measures
The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, addressed the po[CENSORED]tion to notify new cases of the Brazilian variant of coronavirus. These data have raised all the alarms due to a possible increase in positive cases in the country.

The Venezuelan president decreed that from March 5 all po[CENSORED]r activities in the country are suspended. Tomorrow, March 8, International Women's Day, a march was planned to commemorate the day, but it has been suspended because the radical quarantine also begins.

“This situation should lead us to take better care of ourselves. This act has been done with all the biosecurity measures, with the tests, but this is the last act we do for now. We have decided in the commission (for the prevention of covid-19) to limit the acts and public mobilizations while we get out of the alarm situation due to the arrival of the Brazilian variant of COVID-19 ”, explained Maduro.

On Monday the vaccination process will begin with the 500,000 doses from the Sinopharm laboratory. During the next three months it will alternate between the Chinese and Russian vaccines in Venezuela.
Two banners appeared at the Caracas University Hospital and the José Manuel de Los Ríos Children's Hospital, reflecting a message: "Where are the vaccines?" The Venezuelan people did not hesitate to take to the streets to protest the lack of doses and equipment to carry out PCR tests in Venezuela.

Six hospitals without doses
The Monitor Salud collective was presented on social networks as the voice of health workers. This group stated that "in six hospitals the Sputnik V vaccines were completed to immunize health personnel against Covid-19". They themselves were in charge of placing the banner in front of two hospitals.

In a total of six health centers the dose was exhausted. These are: "Dr. Felipe Guevara Rojas Hospital and in the Luis Ortega IVSS - MPPS. In the western region, in the Armando Velázquez Mago Hospital. And, in the central region, in the Clinical University Hospital, the Central Hospital of Maracay and in Enrique Tejera Hospital City ".

"In five of these six sentinel hospitals for the care of patients with coronavirus, a large part of the staff remained without receiving their first dose of immunizations," explained the Monitor Salud collective on its Twitter account. Apart from the shortage of doses, the United Nations (UN) reported that only five states of Venezuela are conducting PCR tests.
