[Auto] Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo, all the details of the electric and family crossover

After weeks of waiting and a multitude of teasers released by the Stuttgart brand, the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo is now official. It is a new model derived from the famous Taycan, which introduces a family body to remind us of the Panamera Sport Turismo. But it also gives a jacket aesthetic and certain advantages to go to unpaved tracks.

Inheriting the design details of the Mission E Cross Turismo concept car unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the new Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo is seen as a crossover, electric, sporty family saloon. We already have its prices and, in fact, it is already available in dealerships, although the first deliveries will take place in June.

Porsche has created this model to offer greater versatility, practicality and comfort than that found in the Taycan. Thus, the Taycan Cross Turismo gains 47 mm of space in height for the rear seats, while the boot capacity is extended to 1,200 liters.

Visually, each of the exterior angles of this model is spectacular. He looks muscular and technological, but without falling into eccentricities. To offer some possibilities off the asphalt, for simple tracks, the ground clearance of the bodywork is increased by 30 mm with the Off-Road Design pack.

Characteristic design elements with a country touch include the moldings on the wheel arches, the front and rear aprons, as well as the side sills. With the aforementioned Off-Road package, protective slats are added at the ends of the bumpers and in the rearmost area of the running boards. The brand comments that in addition to aesthetics they also fulfill a protective function.

On the other hand, and for bicycle lovers, the automobile firm has developed a specific rear support for this model. It allows you to carry up to three bikes and the best of all is that it does not prevent opening the tailgate of the trunk when it is installed with the bicycles loaded.

 

Versions Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo

As in the case of the Taycan to dry, this new Cross Turismo is also available with different configurations of motors and batteries. Because, we remember, it is a totally electric model. At the moment, the available variants and their technical characteristics are as follows:

• Taycan 4 Cross Turismo: It has a power of 380 hp (280 kW), which with the overboost for the Launch Control function can increase to 476 hp (350 kW). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.1 seconds, has a maximum speed of 220 km / h and its WLTP homologated range is 389 - 456 km.
• 4S Cross Turismo: It has a power of 490 hp (360 kW), which with the overboost for the Launch Control function can increase to 571 hp (420 kW). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds, has a maximum speed of 240 km / h and its WLTP homologated range is 388 - 452 km.
• Turbo Cross Turismo: It has a power of 625 hp (460 kW), which with the overboost for the Launch Control function can increase to 680 hp (500 kW). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.3 seconds, has a maximum speed of 250 km / h and its homologated range in WLTP is 395 - 452 km.
• Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo: It has a power of 625 hp (460 kW), which with the overboost for the Launch Control function can increase to 761 hp (560 kW). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds, has a maximum speed of 250 km / h and its WLTP homologated range is 388 - 419 km.

 

Prices Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo

As mentioned above, this new model is already available in the brand's configurator and in the dealers themselves, so it can now be purchased. Despite this, you have to wait until June to see it roll through the Spanish streets and highways. The price list is as follows:
