Christian Gross, el cuarto entrenador destituido esta temporada en Schalke
The Schalke board of directors has decided to sack Christian Gross, the first team coach, after the Teutonic team players showed their complaints to the board for systematically confusing the names of the squad members.

According to information from Germany, the heavyweights of the squad, players such as Kolasinac, Mustafi or Huntelaar, expressed their point of view to the sports management, since Christian Gross appealed to his players by names that were not his own. This dynamic caused irritation and tension among the players, who wanted the coach to leave.

Schalke dismiss coach Christian Gross and sporting director
From the club they denied this information, but after the resounding defeat (5-1) against Stuttgart last Sunday they decided to start a process of dismissals never seen before. Together with the coach, Christian Gross, the Schalke leadership decided to fire Jochen Schneider, sports director; Sascha Riether, team delegate; and Werner Leuthard, physical trainer. "The decision we have taken is inevitable after the disappointing results against Dortmund and Stuttgart," read the club's own statement.

Schalke's bench, a hell
It is the first time in the history of German football that a club decides to dispatch four coaches in the same season: the dismissal of Christian Gross comes after that of David Wagner, Manuel Baum and Huub Stevens. Schalke, despite being third in the Bundesliga income rankings, is one of the worst teams in the history of German football. Schalke's sporting crisis is a reality.

With just one victory in the entire competition, the Germans are last in the table with 9 points and a goal difference of -45. A further 9 points from the save zone, saving for Schalke seems like a chimera. The club recently announced their fifth manager of the season, Dimitrios Grammozis. The former SV Darmstadt 98 coach will catch a team in free fall for the final third of the competition.
