ARCore is the Google platform that allows developers to create augmented reality experiences from a compatible mobile phone, so that the user interacts with visual elements in the real world. This platform was only capable of using one lens even with the multiple camera systems that proliferated in the smartphone market, but the latest update will introduce support for "dual camera stereo depth on compatible devices", as reported by the Android portal.
