Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche have announced Hogwarts Legacy at the PS5 event. It is an open world RPG set in the Harry Potter universe, although it will be set in the 19th century.

During today's PS5 presentation, whose streaming in Spanish you can see here, Hogwarts Legacy was presented, the rumored role-playing game from the Harry Potter saga whose development has even been talked about a lot in recent years. Behind this project are Warner Bros. Games, obviously, and Avalanche, which is responsible for creating this long-awaited and ambitious work.

To be the first time we officially see this video game, a lot of content has been shown both at a cinematic and playable level: in the trailer published at the PS5 event, both cinematic and gameplay sections have been shown, including in these last combat parts, exploration, puzzles, and of course spell duels. Open world action game in a 19th century Hogwarts
In addition to this first trailer, Warner Bros. Games has already published the official Hogwarts Legacy website, in which we can find a description of what we will see in the video game: "It is an open-world immersive action role-playing game", it confirms the text, which goes on to explain how this project's RPG system will work: "Now you can take control of the action and be at the center of your own adventure in the wizarding world. Go on a journey through familiar and new places while you explore and discover fantastic beasts, customize your character and brew potions, master spell casting, upgrade talents and become the wizard you want to be. "

The setting of this game takes us to a Hogwarts from the 19th century: "Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to destroy the wizarding world. You have received a late acceptance at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and you soon discover that you are not an ordinary student: you possess an unusual ability to perceive and master Ancient Magic, "the description explains.

Although announced at the Sony event, Hogwarts Legacy will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, and PC. At the moment there is no release date.
