review procesador intel core i7-11700

Although motherboards based on the Z590 chipset are already on the market, there is still no official release date for Intel Rocket Lake-S processors. This has not prevented an analysis of the Intel Core i7-11700 processor from being published on the YouTube channel Odd Tech Reviews. Let's see what this new processor offers us.

The first review of the Intel Core i7-11700 processor appears

The Intel Core i7-11700 processor is a clocked version of the Core i7-11700K. This non-K processor is characterized by having 8 cores and 16 threads. This processor works at a base frequency of 2.9GHz and reaches 4.4GHz in Boost mode. This processor has a PL1 of 35W and a PL2 of 115W adjustable by BIOS.

Indicate that this processor has a 65W TDP and the working frequencies are 600MHz lower than the Core i7-11700K processor.

For the tests of this processor, the ASUS RoG Maximus XIII motherboard has been used that integrates the Intel Z590 chipset. It has also been accompanied by DDR4 @ 3200MHz RAM.

The data shown indicates that this Core i7-11700 processor performs about 12% more than the Core i7-10700. Something quite interesting is that it stays close to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X processor. The Intel processor in Cinebench R20 offers 587 single-core and 5427 multi-core. While the AMD processor offers 608 points in single core and 5917 points in multicore. We must bear in mind that the frequencies of the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X processor are higher than those of the Intel processor.

Under games like Hitman 2 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, optimized for AMD, there is a big difference. Under the Horizon Zero Down the difference is just 1 FPS. While in the DiRT 5 the Ryzen 7 5800X offers almost 114 FPS and the Intel Core i7-11700 processor offers just over 117 FPS.
