Metroid Prime 4 continues to simmer in the offices of Retro Studios, as it prepares to debut in Spain and around the world on Nintendo Switch. To go adding the ingredients that will make the wait worthwhile, from Retro they announce that they are looking for a storyboard artist, who can help define the "emotional scenes" of the game's narrative. Everything indicates that we will be facing one of the most cinematic and exciting games of the saga.

Metroid Prime 4 continues to take shape
As we can read from a list of job vacancies recently published by Retro Studios, the development studio is looking for a storyboard artist to join their offices. This position would probably join the team working on the long-awaited sequel to the first-person shooter. A position that would be thought to add a more narrative and cinematic layer to Metroid Prime 4.

The job description states that this artist must "work with the protagonist to help maintain the cinematic pillars" of the game, while also "defining the emotional scenes that will resonate with the audience." On the other hand, it is also pointed out that this worker must "explore interesting and innovative scenes that serve to elevate the narrative" of the title.

A much more cinematic, narrative and emotional Metroid
This information would mark a turning point in the Metroid saga, since previous installments have not been characterized precisely by their cinematics or by their narrative, betting more on the gameplay and mechanics that make this property unique. However, it seems that Prime 4 would combine gameplay and storytelling in its formula.

Nintendo announced in early 2019 that it had decided to "restart development" for Metroid Prime 4. Producer Kensuke Tanabe contacted Retro Studios, original creators of the Metroid Prime series, to take over the project. "We believe that if we collaborate with Retro Studios, we can develop a game that meets the expectations of the fans," announced the company. The last we heard about the project is that they recently signed a designer from the also acclaimed God of War saga.
