Ale X Erfan
If you’re still waiting to buy a PS5 then this week could be the best chance yet, with most UK retailers expected to get stock back in. It seems hard to believe the PlayStation 5 could already have sold over 4.5 million consoles, given how near impossible it is to find in shops. You certainly can’t just visit a website and expect to pick one up whenever you want, but more and more people are getting lucky and while stock never lasts for long it can be had when you know when to look. Rumours suggest that multiple retailers will be getting stock this week, including Amazon.co.uk, GAME, Argos, Currys PC World, John Lewis, Very, and AO. That’s the first time everyone has had stock since launch, which is certainly encouraging. How to get advance warning of PS5 stock in the UK The big question, of course, is when the stock will be available to buy, as there’s rarely any official forewarning and, as usual, it’s almost certain to run out in just minutes – as scalper’s bots take the lion’s share. Twitter account PS5 UK Stock – Instant Updates, which has proven accurate in the past, has set up a YouTube feed to warn when stock becomes available, although at the end of the day it’s all down to you being able to spring into action the second it goes online. Stock could become available at any time, from Monday, so the best thing to do is leave the YouTube stream running in the background and make sure you have a loud pair of speakers, so you hear the warning. Microsoft has been a little more optimistic and suggested June (Sony has never commented on the situation) but all companies are suffering from the same problem in terms of the scarcity of semiconductors, which has made high-end PC graphics cards just as scarce.
