#Hassan. Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 After the Chinese Xpeng, it is the turn of the Vietnamese Vinfast to make its arrival on the European market with no less than three models. If you do not know Vinfast yet , a word of advice, remember this name. Because we may hear a lot about the Vietnamese manufacturer in the years to come, when he plans to set up in Europe soon. A not-so-secret ambition, since already in 2018, the firm took advantage to the general surprise of the Paris Motor Show to lift the veil on two concepts, namely a sedan and an SUV. The choice of the French show to present these cars was not then the result of chance, thus undoubtedly making it possible to take the temperature as to a possible arrival with us. And it seems that this has been conclusive, while the Asian firm is now ready to tumble into Europe, with again three models, which should nevertheless not arrive in the dealerships before next year. A deadline that remains relatively close, however, knowing that we had never heard of this brand, belonging to a solid Vietnamese conglomerate barely three years ago. This time, no sedan on the program but many SUVs, a decidedly trendy silhouette, and even more among Asian manufacturers, who are trying to find a place in the European market. The first model to land here will be the VF31 , then measuring 4.3 meters long and offered in two versions, developing 114 and 204 horsepower, while the battery capacity is displayed at 42 kWh. The second, larger model is logically called VF32 , this time displaying a generous length of 4.76 meters, enough to comfortably install a whole family. There again, two versions will be marketed, one of 204 horsepower and a second developing 408 equines, all with a 90 kWh battery. Finally, a third model, the FV33 will also be integrated into the range, but its giant dimensions (5.12 meters long) could compromise its arrival in Europe, although nothing has yet been confirmed. Size rivals Integrating themselves into an already full market, these SUVs will each have different competitors to fight to find a place. If the smallest model, the VF31 will be placed directly in front of the Peugeot e-2008 , it should nevertheless display much more aggressive prices, making it possible to grab a few customers from the Sochaux SUV. For its part, the VF32 will have a lot to do too, since it will then enter directly into competition with the Tesla Model Y, the Mercedes EQC or the new BMW iX3. Suffice to say that the road will be long for this model with strong ambitions whose autonomy has not yet been revealed, which will also have to cut prices to have all its chances. Anyway, and if we will have to wait a little longer before knowing everything, VinFast informs us that these three new models will be equipped with many on-board technologies, including semi-autonomous driving that can go up to level 4. We only ask to see, because for the moment, no European manufacturer is able to offer such advanced assistance. We will have to wait a little longer before seeing these three models on our roads, since orders will not open before November, for deliveries scheduled for 2022. The prices have not been revealed, but they should without doubtless be very interesting, in line with what MG offers , among others.
