The new prefect of Cluj will be Tasnadi Szilard, from UDMR.

He replaces Mircea Abrudean, who was close to reaching the position of Secretary General of the Government, writes Cluj24.ro .

UDMR toughly negotiated this position, within a national political exchange: votes for positions. Political sources confirmed for Știri de Cluj that behind this appointment is Ludovic Orban, the president of PNL.

Political analysts believe that the PNL is giving in too much to have supremacy over USR PLUS in parliament. Ludovic Orban consolidates his power before the liberal congress.

Mircea Abrudean will serve as Deputy Secretary General of the Government. There is a possibility, following some political negotiations, that after three months Mircea Abrudean will hold the position of Secretary General of the Government within a political agreement that has already been discussed.

It is certain that UDMR obtained the Prefecture of Cluj, but the target of those from the union was the Prefecture of Bihor, where there are high tensions.
