#Steeven.™ Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 Skoda has just released the first images and data of a new mid-size SUV, the Skoda Kushaq. At the moment, the units are dressed in full makeup; although its premiere has been confirmed for the month of March. In any case, in principle, this product will only be available in India. It is the first model of the brand with the MQB-A0-IN platform. This platform is a derivation of the MQB that we see in some Volkswagen Group vehicles, but adapted for the Indian market. The German manufacturer will use it in other products destined for India. In fact, the Czech brand itself states in its statement that the Skoda Kushaq will be the first in an offensive consisting of four new mid-size vehicles from Skoda and Volkswagen. All of them based on this specific platform for India. The Kodiaq (test) and Karoq (test) are also marketed there. At the moment, what we know about the Kushaq is that it has a 2,651mm wheelbase, which should allow enough space for four adults. Nor will there be a lack of quality and technology, as it can have daytime running lights and LED main headlights, as well as in the rear optics. Regarding the engines, it will be available with two gasoline mechanics. In both cases they will be front-wheel drive. The smallest is the 1.0 TSI engine, while the most efficient will use the 1.5 TSI block. Power figures have not been released. As you know, the safety standards are not the same as in Europe. We do not know what score this model would receive in the Euro NCAP crash tests. Anyway, it will be able to carry six airbags, stability control, hill start aid, light and rain sensors, cruise control and tire pressure monitor. 4
