#Steeven.™ Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 The Cupra Formentor is a very recent car, having started sales last autumn. As many of you know, the Formentor is a Cupra exclusive sports crossover. What's more, it is its first own model after the Ateca and León launches, which are derived directly from Seat. But going back to the Formentor, this model is available with two engines for the moment. As an access version, the 150 hp 1.5 TSI block appears, while the maximum performance is offered by the 310 hp 2.0 TSI. Later will come a plug-in hybrid. But going to the matter, ABT already offers important improvements in the Cupra Formentor VZ of 310 CV. ABT Sportsline has already worked its magic for the sports crossover. As standard, this model extracts 310 HP and 400 Nm from the 2.0 TSI block. It is not that the specialist has had to work too hard on this aspect, as it is an engine that they know very, very well; which is also an advantage for reliability issues. Cupra Formentor by ABT: 60 CV and 50 Nm extra In the end, they have managed to get 370 hp and 450 Nm of torque; which is not bad at all. This increase of 60 hp and 50 Nm has a positive effect on the car's performance. For example, acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is reduced to 4.6 seconds, while from stock it takes 4.9 seconds. The gain in that sense is not brutal, but it is remarkable. On the other hand, ABT warns that an exhaust system with four outputs with better acoustics will be available very soon. They do not detail too much but they do affirm that they will have a diameter greater than 102 mm and that they will be finished in matt black stainless steel. But it does not finish here. The preparer offers us a suspension that reduces the height by 35 mm compared to the standard active suspension that comes with the 310 hp Cupra Formentor VZ. Another option is to replace the wheels with specific ones from ABT, with several options to choose from with 19 and 20 inches. The ones we see in the images are the 20-inch ABT Sport GR in two-color finish. 3
