#Steeven.™ Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 The Volkswagen Polo Harlequin was released in the mid-1990s as a special edition. It was tremendously eye-catching for using an exterior panel of each color. It was born after the main idea of showing the world the ease of changing car parts, modular construction, something inherited from the 60s with an advertisement for a similar Beetle. They had originally produced only twenty units of the Harlequin for promotional purposes. Later, and seeing that it was very po[CENSORED]r, it was decided to create a circulation of 1,000 units for sale to the public, which was finally extended to 3,806. But most importantly: Is the Volkswagen Polo Harlequin back on the market? Unfortunately, the answer is no. The Polo unit that we see in the images has been made by the Volkswagen Holland division. This traces almost entirely the style carried out by the model of the 90s. It uses the same colors in each piece, with only difference in the upper door frames, which are now built in a different way. Another detail that the current unit has not replicated is the case of the steering wheel. And we remember that in the 1995 Volkswagen Polo Harlequin, the well-known 6N generation, had the steering wheel rim in blue. But what is the real reason for this new unit? The Volkswagen of the Netherlands points out that this unit of the current Volkswagen Polo Harlequin has sought what could be called a therapeutic effect. And it was presented last Monday, which coincided with Blue Monday. Some say that day is the saddest of the year… With the Harlekin Polo they wanted to give Blue Monday a little more color.
