#Steeven.™ Posted January 13, 2021 Posted January 13, 2021 Joventut took the victory at the start of the Eurocup Top 16, 86-95. The Catalans went from less to more finishing the game in a great final stretch. Tomic and Brodziansky led the comeback. Luis Casimiro's men repeated a match that has already been seen many times this year at Carpena. Decent start, ten point lead in the third quarter and crash at the end. Waczysnki and Deon Thompson were the most prominent typewriters of the party. The people of Malaga continue with their bad feelings, those that have been dragging since 2020 and that in 2021 does not seem to have separated from the team. The match started with the two teams fighting hard to dominate the paint. Rubén Guerrero was the reference in Unicaja while Ante Tomic was the protagonist of the offensive actions of the Catalan team. The hoops became gigantic in the beginning of the game that did not lead to errors on both sides of the court. Equality was maximum with baskets from the two teams without either team taking off on the scoreboard. Casimiro's men took advantage of the offensive rebounds to hurt their rival. Two consecutive 3s by Waczynski in the last minute of the quarter broke the balance. The Pole uncovered the jar of the essences of the outside game to close the first section of shock with a partial of eight to zero. Ten minutes in which they played at one hundred per hour at Carpena, (24-18). The exchange of baskets continued to be the keynote of the game at the start of the second quarter. With Jaime Fernández and Francis Alonso Unicaja he flew on the track. The Malacitanos' game was fast and Waczynski, very successful in the first half, almost always finished successfully. Joventut was soon loaded with fouls but that did not prevent him from stretching in attack and adding a small partial of five points. Unicaja improved his figures from the 6.75 line and that allowed him to always be ahead on the scoreboard. Dimitrijevic was pulling the car in Carles Durán's box and the score remained very tight. Unicaja pressed in defense and this allowed him to go to rest six up on the scoreboard while maintaining the advantage of the first act. Only Tomic threatened the typesetter dominance. Joventut left asleep after returning from the changing rooms. Carles Durán was forced to ask for time out after the bad start of his team. Four to zero of partial for Unicaja, who reached the highest income of the game after the first two minutes of the quarter. López Aróstegui got two consecutive triples making 'Penya' react. Waczynski and his success continued to be key in the Unicaja party. Brodziansky and Dawson again held the electronic for their own. A partial from zero to ten, closed by Tomic, placed Joventut very close to the Malaga players. The composer collapse was saved by Abromaitis and the score remained at 68-66 for the Los Guindos club at the end of the third quarter. Once again, the exchange of blows was the dominant note in the European duel between Spaniards. Those from Badalona were ahead on the scoreboard taking advantage of four free throws at the beginning of the final ten minutes. Dawson was the most outstanding scoring and making his team play. Joventut dominated the game and the sensations. Unicaja was turned off and the solutions did not arrive from the bench. When things looked worse for Casimiro, his team resurfaced. Nzosa entered the court and the defensive attitude changed in the Costa del Sol. But it was not enough. Two 3-pointers by Bassas closed the game without discussion. Unicaja repeated the evils of other days while Joventut started the Top 16 with a victory (86-95).
