A doctor is torn between life and death in a Santiago health center, after being run over when running scared out of the emergency area of the Los Hidalgos municipal hospital, in Puerto Plata, where she received, while on duty, the lifeless body of her eight-year-old son.

The doctor's son died from a cutting wound to one of his feet caused by porcelain from a sink that fell on him when he slipped in the bathroom of his residence, located in the Cañada Grande community of Los Hidalgos.

The boy was taken in an agonizing state to the Rafael Cantizano Arias Hospital, in Los Hidalgos, where her mother was on her service, and when she saw him, she was so upset that she ran out and was hit by a vehicle.

The event has caused great consternation in Los Hidalgos, Puerto Plata. It is unknown what happened to the vehicle that hit her.
