Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing Will Debut on February 1st

Good news if you've been waiting for the true successors to the Cadillac ATS-V and CTS-V—GM Authority reports the new CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing are set to be revealed in a virtual event on February 1. The CT4-V Blackwing will likely be powered by a version of the old ATS-V's twin-turbo 3.6-liter V-6, while the CT5-V Blackwing will get Chevy's supercharged 6.2-liter V-8. Both will have a manual transmission as standard, with a host of other performance goodies available.
A few years ago, a handful of Road & Track staffers walked the Detroit Auto Show floor with legendary product guy Bob Lutz, and he gave us a rundown of the then-new Kia Stinger. Lutz was deeply impressed, but expressed disappointment at the Kia badge on the nose—the logo simply didn't match the premium feel of the rest of the car. He'll surely be happy to hear that Kia has unveiled a new logo. The brand also revealed a new slogan today, Movement That Inspires. More will come in a presentation about the automaker's future on January 15.
The sound you hear is American Formula 1 fans crying out in pain, facing the prospect of waking up an hour earlier on Sunday. Motorsport.com reports that F1 is looking to switch the start time of European races from 3:10 pm to 2:00 pm. For a long time, races started at 2:00 pm, but the series pushed the start to 3:10 pm for American audiences, and to allow for longer pre-show events. But the teams don't like the later starts as it means they're at the track for longer into the night, and broadcasters didn't like starting at 10 after the hour because it meant they had extra time to fill. Motorsport.com says all teams are in favor of the earlier start, so the change should be ratified soon.
