In these 43 years of life it has changed its name and has released other designs without losing its essence. What's more, he has seen General Motors go from dominating in its native country to closing its operations and running away without looking back. Now, it comes back with a new name and, above all, a new image.

Now it is the turn of Lada Niva Travel. You may wonder, what is special about this version compared to the ones we already know? Well, easy: it is the turn of the screw that the firm has given to disengage from the American group. However, we should not expect big news in terms of technology and security, as Russia will be its target market. Even so, as an off road machine it will have no competitor, a shame that it does not reach the rest of the continent.

The Lada Niva Travel looks more modern and sophisticated

According to its creators, the appearance of the Lada Niva Travel is more expressive and modern. The same does not come as much, but the front has more voluminous and prominent lines. This is helped by ragged headlights and a more generous mesh grille bumper. The side moldings and the protected wheel arches add that off-road touch that you like so much. If we pass behind we can see LED optics and a more solid bumper.

If we go to the "Off-road" version, the Niva Travel adds specific accessories. The most obvious are a snorkel, off-road tires and a body kit made of plastic. As for equipment possibilities, there will be permanent all-wheel drive with the possibility of mechanical differential lock. Comfort is provided by improved air conditioning, more robust seats or a new infotainment system.
