Given the enormous success that the Tiguan is having worldwide, Volkswagen has decided to expand
 the number of versions of this SUV, through the R variant, with more than 300 hp.

Thus, for the first time, the Volkswagen Tiguan has a purely sporty option, either from an aesthetic or performance point of view.

 

 

 

 

 

 

How much power does the Volkswagen Tiguan R have?

In terms of performance, the Tiguan R with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine ranks 
at the top thanks to its 320 hp and 310 pound-feet of torque between 2,100 rpm and 5,350 rpm.

This enormous amount of power allows this SUV to complete 0-100 km / h in 4.9
 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km / h (electronically limited).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Far from having more power and accelerating faster, the Volkswagen Tiguan R with its seven-speed
 DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission offers superior driving dynamics thanks to the all-wheel drive system 
(4Motion) and the vector control of the torque (R-Performance).

Other elements that add to the high performance of this SUV is the braking system composed of 357
 mm discs and double piston calipers, the R drive mode that is activated from the steering wheel by a button,
 the deactivatable stability control and a sports exhaust system with four outlets (as an option a titanium Akrapovič).
