Cártel de Sinaloa es dueño de un McLaren F1

Without a doubt, one of the most coveted super cars in the world is the McLaren F1.
This great claim for the car of the English manufacturer is due to the fact that it is a high-performance
vehicle with a limited production.

Because there were only 106 units that McLaren produced between 1992 and 1998,
the price that can be paid for an F1 in an auction, places it as one of the most valued cars in the world.

Given the price that can be paid for this super car,
many owners have decided to keep it in their garage under anonymity.
Hidden or not, McLaren knows almost perfectly who the current owner of each of the F1 cars it built is.

It is said that almost, because there is a unit that has not been traced to its existence for some time.
Specifically, it is the McLaren F1 # 039.

As far as is known, this unit with a brown body and red interior (Brazillian Brown) was built, in 1995,
for Ron Dennis, the then boss of McLaren.

However, having an unattractive tone, for Dennis, the car was rejected,
for which he received the unit with chassis # 050 in silver.

This change resulted in the F1 # 039 being sold to a person in the UK,
who reportedly kept it for a short time. After there, the whereabouts of the car have been a mystery.

After passing through the hands of the English customer,
it was learned that the McLaren F1 in question went to a new owner in 1997.
According to the records, the car was destined for Mexico.

Although the name of the buyer was not known, nor the city where the car would stop,
rumors say that the mysterious F1 was acquired by a member of the Sinaloa Cartel.

Gossip says that when after the unknown owner died in the late 1990s, there was no trace of the keys to unit # 039.

Without the possibility of driving it, the car was parked in a town in Sinaloa,
and there was no more trace of the vehicle for years.

Knowing the stronghold they owned, a person contacted McLaren to obtain a new key for the F1
# 039, however, the company refused to comply with the request due to the failure to send the ownership documentation.

Another version mentions that McLaren refused to make a key for the car
due to the dubious importation of the car into Mexico, as well as knowing that the owner was a drug dealer.
None of the rumors are confirmed.

Since then, the whereabouts of F1 # 039 is even more of a mystery, since there is no trace.
As of today, one of these McLaren cars is worth more than $ 20 million.
