Leon Bailey celebra uno de sus goles contra el Hoffenheim.

Bayer Leverkusen took advantage of Bayern's stumble against Unión Berlin to storm the leadership of the German Bundesliga, which this weekend completed its eleventh day, after beating Hoffenheim (4-1) with authority.

The team of the Dutch Peter Bosz thus culminates an impeccable career so far this year. In eleven games he has won seven, tied four and lost none. Together with Wolfsburg, fourth in the table, he is the only one who does not know defeat in Germany.

The Leverkusen did not fail. He had the opportunity and led by the Jamaican Leon Bailey made the champion's recent instability profitable. Bayern Munich, until not long ago intractable in all tournaments, accumulated three draws in the last four games they have played in the Bundesliga.

Bayer Leverkusen left the visit to Hoffenheim's BayArena more than on track, which ended with nine men, within half an hour, with Bailey in effervescence.

The Jamaican opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a great goal. A short corner kick towards Nadiem Amiri who returned the ball to him. Bailey looked for some angle and from the side, outside the area, he executed a precise shot, with effect, that surpassed Oliver Baumann.

Bailey's second came in the 27th, when in a counterattack he picked up the ball in the center of the field, dodged the forward goalkeeper and alone took the ball to the net.

Sebastian Hoeness's side was glimpsed by a slight reaction early in the second half, when a fine individual play by Christoph Baumgartner, complete with a kick from the edge, closed the gap.

It was a mirage. Five minutes later Florian Wirtz scored the third, a pass from Czech Patrik Schick.

The visitors' options declined when the Austrian Florian Grillitsch saw the second yellow card and left Hoffenheim with ten minutes who played the final ten minutes with nine due to the expulsion of Stefan Posch.

In added time, the Argentine Lucas Alario, from a penalty, rounded off the home team's win, Bayer Leverkusen added another victory and rose to the top of the table. He is first in the table, with a point of income compared to Bayern Munich and Leipzig, tied next.
