Santo Domingo

Two three-race rallies, one in the third and the other in the seventh, led the Leones del Escogido to a 7-1 victory over the Tigres del Licey on Sunday at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal stadium.

The Scarlets had a bullpen day, which started Tai Tiedemann (1.0), followed by Edward Paredes (1.0), Samuel Adames (2.0), Rhiner Cruz (1.0), Fernando Rodney (1.0), Drew Carlton (1.0), Travis Radke (1.0) and Andrés Núñez (1.0).

The winning pitcher was Adames (1-0), who hit innings three and four. The defeat was for Deivi García (0-2), tolerating the first three laps of the Escogido in 2.1 chapters.

The victory secures at least one draw for the Lions in the contest for the City Champion, putting them 13-11. The Tigers are now 8-11.

The launch of honor, prior to the game, was carried out by the Director General of Customs, Eduardo Sanz Lovatón.

The only blue race occurred starting the game with a ticket to Emilio Bonifacio, who ripped off the intermediate and third base and then scored with a shot from Dawel Lugo for the second.

The hairy men roared in the third, which Julio Y. Rodríguez started on a walk courtesy of Garcia, and Joseph Rosa's double to the right-field safety zone, pushing Rodriguez for the tie. Estevan Florial's 3-pointer to the center wall brought Rosa to the rubber, and a Franchy Cordero sacrifice fly drove in Florial to make the game 3-1.

The Lions made one more in the bottom of the sixth and three more in the seventh, which Cordero started with a hit to left field, followed by a transfer to Brett Sullivan, courtesy of Frank Garces, who was replaced by Dauris Valdez.

The new indigo pitcher was greeted by a double from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. which caused Cordero to go to the register and Sullivan to third. An intentional walk to Gregory Polanco brought Jonathan Guzmán to the plate, who with a sacrifice fly to center boosted Sullivan from third base, where Puello moved, who replaced Guerrero Jr. A wild pitch by Valdez allowed Puello to enter with the seventh of the premises.

For the Lions, Florial went 2-2, with a triple, scored and RBI; Polanco, 3-2, with scored and transfer, and Guerrero Jr., 4-1, with double and RBI.

For Licey, Lugo hit 4-2 with an RBI.
