#Steeven.™ Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 While Aston Martin is dedicated to solving its problems the creative department does not stop coming up with new special versions. One of the latest to arrive is the exclusive Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition. Does his last name ring a bell? Indeed, this well-known whiskey firm has been collaborating with the House of Gaydon for some time. The reasons for this, a priori, are not glimpsed although both appeal to their roots and tradition in the premium world. To develop the Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition, the brand's engineers have had the help of the «Q» department. This is the same one who is responsible for creating the versions that James Bond himself wears in his films. Therefore, it is ensured that the level of exclusivity and symbolic charge is at a high level. So much so that throughout the DBX they have used pieces from the Bowmore distillery. We tell you which ones, because it is very subtle ... Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition captures the essence of two British luxury brands To improve the aesthetics, Q has used copper strips from the whiskey stills for the side inlays. Copper exterior accents are paired with Bowmore Blue, a color that Aston Martin has resurrected for the DBX Bowmore Edition. A xenon gray is also available. Inside, the same material is used for the copper cup holders and the door sill plates. Optionally, to dress the cabin, customers can choose various combinations. Thus, we have options such as Obsidian Monotone or Copper Tan Metallic / Obsidian Duotone. Bowmore tweed material along with other blue and copper accents is used on dashboard or doors. Everything, in contrast to details of copper foil that we can see in the center console, which is also finished in piano black. As a complement, the customer can include various special Q accessories. Highlights include a Bowmore tweed picnic blanket and a leather bag. Regarding its powertrain, power comes from the 4.0-liter biturbo V8 petrol block that we already know in the DBX "street". Therefore, its final performance remains at 410 kW (558 hp) and 700 Nm of maximum torque. If you liked everything we've told you about the DBX Bowmore Edition, wait. The brand wants its owners to feel special and has planned a three-day delivery experience in Scotland for this. Of course, if we count that they are going to take a tour of the Bowmore distillery and that they are going to fill their bottle of whiskey by hand, the plan is not the most successful. If the Civil Guard of Traffic had jurisdiction in this country ...? They would put on their boots ... 4
