Pogba to leave

Yesterday, Tuttosport teased an interview with super-agent Mino Raiola, who works with clients such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba. The agent had said that Paul Pogba’s time at Manchester Untied was ‘over’ and that he would look to find a new club as soon as possible.

Further details of the agent’s interview have been released where Raiola details further opinion on Paul Pogba’s situation in the north west in addition to details on a number of his clients.

Speaking on the French midfielder Raiola said, “He has a contract that will expire in a year and a half, in the summer of 2022, but the I believe the best solution for the parties is to sell them to the next market.”

Pogba’s game time has gradually diminished under both Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Pogba signed for United in an £89 million-record deal in 2016 and the club will want to recoup as much money as possible from the sale. Any sale is likely to include a significant agent fee to Raiola too and will hike the price should a club look to sign the 27-year-old.

“Maybe Juventus could be his next destination. Why not?” said Raiola when speculating about a return to Italy. “Among other things, the relationship with the club and with his former team-mates is excellent. At the time of Covid, not many teams can afford to buy Paul. The important thing is to want it.”

With the January window less than 4 weeks from opening, the sage for Pogba’s signature is likely to persist throughout the Christmas period and beyond.

Pirlo laughing

Paul Pogba left Manchester United in 2012 after developing through their youth academy and moved to Italy with Juventus. A deal which cost the Italian side no fee to Manchester United.

Now the head coach of the club, could the pair again be reunited leaving Pirlo to once again laugh at Manchester United? Pirlo is a huge fan of the player and has even compared his quality to that of Ronaldo and Messi.
