[Auto] Future DeLorean: Check out this design that pays homage to the po[CENSORED]r movie star vehicle

Ángel Guerra, a widely known professional in the automotive industry, was in charge of making this render that has a totally modern appearance.

It is no mystery to anyone that the mythical DeLorean DMC-12 is one of the most famous cars of all time thanks to its appearance in "Back to the Future", a film in which it shone with Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd and despite More than 30 years have passed since that jump to stardom, the vehicle remains one of the most iconic for nut lovers. In fact, on the occasion of its 40 years to be fulfilled in 2021, a Spanish designer wanted to pay tribute to this model by creating a render of a modern DeLorean DMC-12 that sports a totally new design and an electric motorization.

Ángel Guerra, a widely known professional in the automotive industry, was commissioned to carry out this work, which adds to his other works such as the Rimac Concept 2, a prototype that finally gave way to the Rimac C Two supercar. The model takes as its inspiration the po[CENSORED]r vehicle of the 80s, but adds a totally new philosophy with lines and rounded edges that, together with a futuristic appearance, turn the car into an imposing sports car. A large hood, modern black wheels, and a coupe styling with clean lines stand out in this render that quickly caught the attention of nut fans.

 

 

However, the model also sports several nods to the original vehicle such as the rear area configured in horizontal slats or the gull-wing doors, among others. In terms of motorization, the international press reports that the sports car exhibits two electric motors that together can deliver no less than 900 horsepower, much more than the 132 than the original. But as if that were not enough, the concept was conceived as an autonomous vehicle and proof of this is that the black strip that runs along the sides would have technology such as LIDAR, ultrasound and a set of cameras.
