#Steeven.™ Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 Ecuador registered this November 14, 2020, 953 new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours and reached a total of 179 627, according to report No. 261 of the Ministry of Public Health. According to the report, the deaths in the context of the pandemic are 12,997, of which 8,658 correspond to confirmed deaths from the disease and 4,339 are probable deaths. Quito continues as the city with the most cases of the disease and this November 14 documents 58,922 infections, with 409 new records compared to the previous day. The second city with the most infections, far below the capital, is Guayaquil with 15,971. Cuenca follows with 8,768. The figures in report No. 261 emerge after analyzing 593,959 tests to diagnose or rule out the new coronavirus. In the last 24 hours, 4,266 tests have been carried out. The pandemic in the provinces Pichincha is the province most affected by COVID-19 infections and concentrates 35.6% of cases in the country, with a total of 64,000. Next is Guayas with 23,155, that is, 12.9% of the total national. Then there is Manabí, with 11,970 cases; that is, 6.7%. They are followed by Azuay with 11,087 (6.2%); El Oro, 6,842 (3.8%); Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, 5,392 (3%); Esmeraldas, 4 512 (2.5%); and Los Ríos, 4 182 (2.3%). The government report also shows a total of 154,956 recovered patients and 363,847 discarded cases. In addition there are 22,346 cases with hospital discharge, 484 are hospitalized stable and 324 have a reserved prognosis. 2
