#Steeven.™ Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Hereda San Pablo Burgos could not start the FIBA Champions League season with a victory after losing 99-98 to Filou Oostende in a very close match in which the Burgos had the last possession, but Ken's triple attempt Horton saw no hoop. Filou Oostende started the game with a dominant Thomas Welsh (10-2), while it was difficult for Burgos to see the hoop until Thad McFadden and Cuban Jasiel Rivero put them in the game (12-10). The outside shot paid off for Hereda San Pablo Burgos, who achieved their best advantages thanks to the points from 6.75 (18-23), although Dario Gjergja's, with a splendid Olivier Troisfontaines, managed to close the first quarter with 24-26. The duel was balanced at the beginning of the second quarter and it was when Thad McFadden and Álex Barrera gave the Burgos the first advantage (34-39) with triples, although Troisfontaines again appeared to turn the scoreboard (52-53 ). The Castilians stretched the difference in the return of the dressing rooms (54-58), but a 7-0 run with Dusan Djordjevic and Mario Nakic as protagonists put the Belgians ahead again and although the game was again tied, Benite unbalanced at the end of the third quarter (71-74). With everything to be decided, the last ten minutes opened at the Versluys Dôme, with the best minutes from the start for the Belgians, especially for Troisfontaines and Van der Vuurst (84-79), however, the Hereda San Pablo Burgos did not leave to believe in the comeback and he did so through the appearance of Dejan Kravic and Alex Renfroe. When San Pablo was better, the defense failed and that allowed Gjergja's team to command in the final possession, but Horton's triple did not enter and the victory was in the hands of Filou Oostende.
