Dark Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Android adds sound notifications to alert people with hearing problems to noise at home Google has announced a new accessibility feature coming to Android-powered devices, sound notifications, which alert people with hearing impairments or headphones to important sounds at home. The Android sound notifications are intended to provide notifications to mobile users when the device detects "critical sounds", showing alerts 'push', vibrations or activating the 'flash' of the camera, as reported by Google in a statement. In this way, both people with hearing problems and users who are wearing headphones at that time or while sleeping can perceive these alerts. Google's technology works without the need for an Internet connection, according to the American company, and users can access a timeline to check the alerts in the last hours, when they occurred and their duration. From this Thursday, it is already possible to activate the Android sound notifications in the settings menu from the accessibility options, although it is also possible to download the application directly from Google Play. 3
