The Executive Director of the World Food Program, David Beasley, expressed his pleasure at this financial support provided by the Kingdom to the Yemeni people, who are suffering badly from the collapse of currency prices, which has exacerbated the food crisis in addition to the Covid-19 crisis, which made the situation in Yemen intractable. Beasley added that in 2018, we were facing situations close to starvation, and because of the generous support of the center and the support of our other partners, we avoided a famine that year, indicating that we are now facing similar situations, if not worse, because of Covid-19, and we hope this support will help us avoid Famine. Beasley appreciated the agreement signed between the World Food Program and the King Salman Relief Center, describing the agreement as a step forward and in the right direction to achieve more work. David Beasley, on his behalf and on behalf of all beneficiary children and families, extended his heartfelt thanks to the King Salman Relief Center, looking forward to more agreements in the future to meet the urgent needs of the Yemeni people. The Regional Director of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean, Dr.Ahmed bin Salem Al-Mandhari, expressed his happiness at the signing today of the joint agreement with the King Salman Relief Center to support the health aspect, environmental sanitation projects, the fight against the emerging corona virus, and anti-malnutrition projects in Yemen, praising the fruitful cooperation with the center to support the affected people in All over the world, especially Yemen, extending his sincere thanks to the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect them - for the generous support provided to the programs of international humanitarian organizations in the world. The representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Ambassador Khaled Khalifa, explained that we signed today an agreement with the King Salman Relief Center to help the Yemeni brothers, and this funding will go to UNHCR's shelter projects and programs aimed at reducing the impact of the Corona crisis in Yemen. It is useful that this contribution comes at an important time as we approach the end of the year and there is a great need for funding and projects, especially in light of the Corona crisis, which has intensified the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
