Being healthy not only means taking care of your physical appearance, but the immune system, well-being and mental health are just as important. Follow these tips to get there.

Before the pandemic, people had already evaluated changing their eating habits, not just because of fashion; but to lead a healthier lifestyle that combines a balanced diet and the practice of physical exercises.

Added to this, in recent months, FAO has invited the po[CENSORED]tion to have a healthy and conscious diet to strengthen their immune system. In that sense, 4 out of 10 Colombians have switched to a healthy version of their favorite product, according to a Nielsen study.

To this, Nelson Molano, general manager of Dairy Pomar pointed out, “the pandemic situation caused by the covid-19 motivated Colombians to look for foods that protect their immune system and that in turn are rich and healthy. They combine this with some sports practice at home and in outdoor spaces to protect not only physical health, but also mental health ”.

In this line of ideas, the Spanish Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in its study on food and sport concluded that people who started some practice reduced some foods such as sausages and began to choose those with nutritional values.

The study adds that maintaining a balanced diet and doing some type of training will not only bring people closer to the desired goal; it will also improve your physical performance. Therefore, it is important to include a good combination of carbohydrates, proteins and non-trans fats. Before that, know the nutritional recommendations if you do sports:

- Do some type of physical activity of your choice, be it a brisk walk around your neighborhood or swing your hips to the beat of your favorite song. This will allow you to stay active, energetic and have a greater sense of well-being.

-Balance your diet and moderate your food intake if you exercise less. Include at least an average of five fruits and vegetables, plus nuts and two liters of water to help control anxiety.

-If you consume vegetable drinks, these will provide you with vitamin B, which favors the metabolism. Containing soluble and insoluble fiber, it protects the wall of the intestine.

- You can hydrate with a glass of milk after exercise. This is composed of 88% water, it is also considered one of the most complete foods that exist by providing our body with potassium, vitamins and calcium.

-If you consume vegetable drinks, these will provide you with vitamin B, which favors the metabolism. Containing soluble and insoluble fiber, it protects the wall of the intestine.
